04 · ESSENCE

01 · NATURAL EXTRACTION

From fresh blossoms
to pure floral essence.

Carefully extracted. Precisely purified. Scientifically verified.

Extraction is where we started, and where we’re still fussiest. Whatever aroma plants grow in India, we distil in-house. Today, we’re one of the largest rose-extraction operations in the world, and one of the largest sandalwood distillers in India.

Rose fields at harvest
ROSE, FROM ALIGARH 01 / 05
01

Rose, from Aligarh

Rose farming in India was shrinking before we arrived in Aligarh. In the few years since, the acreage has been climbing again, and we’re proud to have helped bring it back.

02

Jasmine, from Madurai

Sourced from Madurai and carried to us in temperature-controlled vehicles, so every flower arrives as fresh as the day it was picked.

03

Kewra, from Odisha

Our Kewra Absolute is made by no one else in the world, using our own proprietary extraction process. Along the way, we’ve helped keep kewra farming alive in Odisha.

04

Sandalwood, from Australia

For every sandalwood tree harvested, 10 more are planted. Our optimised extraction turns that wood into three to four specialised extracts you won’t find on the open market.

05

Oud, from Assam

Sourced from Assam.

02 · EXTRACTION PROCESS

How a floral
absolute is made

Cold purification in the laboratory

01

Fresh in.

Flowers arrive in temperature-controlled vehicles and are inspected and cleaned.

02

Gentle extraction.

A food-grade solvent draws out the aromatic compounds, leaving a rich floral concrete.

03

Purified cold.

The concrete is purified with alcohol at around -40°C, where waxes separate out.

04

Pure absolute.

The alcohol is gently recovered, leaving a pure floral absolute.

05

Verified.

Every batch is tested with GC-MS analysis and approved by our quality team before it leaves.

03 · PEOPLE

The hands behind it

Around 500 people work with us directly. Another 1,500, many of them rural flower pickers, earn their living alongside us. Walk the fields at harvest and you’ll hear radios playing between the rows.

04 · DEVELOPMENT & INNOVATION

From concept
to compound.

Custom fragrance development starts with listening. We learn your brief, break down what makes a scent work, then build toward something that’s yours. Four in-house platforms carry that work.

Some scents can’t be extracted at all. Saffron, betel leaf and berries won’t give up a usable oil. Our gas-infusion process, still in development, captures their real aroma in oil, with no synthetic stand-ins.

05 · CAPTIVE AROMA CHEMICALS

The molecules only we have.

Captive aroma chemicals are molecules we design from scratch in our own lab, with a structure known only to us. Around 10 are in active use across our formulations.

We could patent them. We choose not to, because a patent means publishing the structure for everyone to see. So they stay secret, and your fragrance stays hard to copy.

We also create new aroma chemicals through enzymatic synthesis, using enzymes to reshape natural materials like sandalwood oil into something entirely new. Few houses in the industry do this.

06 · MANUFACTURING & QUALITY

Built to a standard, not a shortcut.

Our Hyderabad facility does one thing: fine-fragrance blending. Its ERP and quality systems are modelled on French practice, so every batch meets the same controls, from raw material to finished compound.

07 · RAW MATERIALS & CONTROL

We don’t outsource what matters.

AROMA CHEMICALS

Identical everywhere.

Every fragrance oil is made of two things: aroma chemicals and natural essential oils. Aroma chemicals are identical wherever you buy them.

NATURAL ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential oils are not.

Their quality rises and falls with every field and every harvest.

Rose harvest
Jasmine harvest
Sandalwood

So that’s where we focus. Our team walks the rose, jasmine and sandalwood fields in person, checking each harvest against our own standards. We source every material from where it grows best, whether that’s India, Europe, Indonesia, the US or South America, and we control the process end to end.
